Achievements
Coach Brent established Brent Holmes swimming academy and Neptune aquatics swimming club in Bloemfontein in 2006. Coach Brent is a SSA Qualified coach and learn to swim Instructor. He is also a qualified teaching Facilitator, Assessor and Moderator.
In addition to Coach Brents local qualifications, Coach Brents International qualifications include ACSA (American swim coaches association) International Level 5 certified coaching certificate as well as an international Diploma in Exercise and Sport Nutrition.
While coaching in Bloemfontein, Coach Brent also took charge of the highly successful school program at Oranje Meiseskool from 2009 to 2019. Oranje Meiseskool where crowned national aquatics champions on 2 occasions during Coach Brent’s tenure as well as placing top 3 on a further 5 occasions.
Coach Brent relocated to Pretoria in 2019 to open a TUKS (University of Pretoria) Satellite swimming program in the North of Pretoria at Montana high school. The program has made an immediate impact with 8 Multi Sport and 5 Open water swimmers qualifying to represent Gauteng and NTS respectively at the respective senior National championships.
Additionally, the program in Pretoria has produced its first International athlete who represented SA at the 2022 World Biathle championships bringing home a Bronze medal in the individual event and a Gold medal in the team event.

Multi-sport
To cater for the diversity of the athletes in our program and inline with our vision to create Bespoke training programs for all sports including Triathlon, Biathlon, Biathle, life-saving and more recently to assist with an endurance program for EFC and UFC fighters, has ensured our program continues to produce ongoing success both Nationally and internationally with many selected to represent their provinces and SA at various competitions around the world. Our athletes in addition to national and international medals have produced 3 world champions.
Open Water
Coach Brent’s open water program has continued to produce some of the countries leading age group swimmers. The program has since 2009 produced 4 age group champions, a host of swimmers who has competed internationally for SA as well as 2 African champions and 4 international medallists.
Schools Program
Coach Brent took over the ailing Oranje Meiseskools junior and high schools swimming and development program from 2009 till 2019. During his tenure the school won the Free State inter High title 7 times, the All girls Aquatics festival on 2 occasions as well as finishing the top 3 on a further 5 occasions.
Many of the swimmers in the Oranje Meiseskool program swam at various levels Nationally and Internationally as members of the various swimming clubs in competitions hosted by the various SSA federations.
Coach Brent continues to assist schools to establish programs and regularly hosts swim clinics.
